What is Traditional Wixárika (Huichol) Healing?

The Wixárika are a group of indigenous people who have lived in the remote canyonlands of the Sierra Madre Occidental of northwestern Mexico for thousands of years. Although there have been attempts to conquer them their traditions have remained intact conserving a remarkable view and potent healing tools from a deep relationship to the gods and the spirits of nature. Don David and his team are rare Westerners that have been accepted and apprenticed from this unique calling to make this work accessible to others.

Your healing sessions will take place around a special sacred fire. Depending upon your needs, prayers and intention, your health, relationships, and life’s conditions will be explored to help facilitate changes you are seeking.

Experiences during this retreat:

  • Individual attention to your unique healing needs

  • Group spiritual processes

  • A round-the-clock ceremonial setting supported by a sacred fire

  • Deep inner work with Wixárika (Huichol) Traditional Healing

  • Teaching fires

  • Sacred stories and wisdom

  • Laughter, movement, dancing

  • Connection with the natural world: peaceful river,  lush landscape, and mountains ideal for contemplation and reflection.
