Ways To Give

Re-Opening 2021 - Annual Operating Giving

All of our programs (both at the Center and off-site) rely on the support of our generous donors and volunteers. Their work, sincere effort, and financial resources, make it possible for Blue Deer to bring transformation in nature to participants. We strive to keep our programs as low cost as possible. The revenue from our retreats, classes and virtual offerings, only covers 40% of our annual operating cost. Due to our partial opening in 2020 and 2021, our revenue from programs has dropped to under 10%. Your support is essential to our recovery. Give Now >>

Monthly Giving

Our community of monthly supporters help sustain the life of Blue Deer Center. Every contribution is a beautiful commitment to tend to the sacred land. Give Now >>

River of Peace Scholarship Fund

The River of Peace Scholarship Fund helps participants come to the center and receive its medicine by decreasing barriers to participation. Give Now >>

Finishing Capital Projects: The Lodge

We have implemented a guest services approach that gives each individual or couple a single room, while also adding commuter and camping options. This policy provides the necessary physical distancing to keep participants, staff and volunteers safe, but at the same time limits our capacity.

By renovating the ‘Lodge’ you would help to increase program capacity and continue to keep everyone safe during this pandemic. Give Now >>

Expansion of our Digital Infrastructure and Online Programming

Blue Deer Center has hosted traditional Elders from five continents, who steward the sacred knowledge of our connection with the natural world. COVID-19 has limited the travel of many of these Elders, for example Mohawk Elder Tom Porter. Now, we have the opportunity to virtually bring the wisdom of the Elders into our homes. Give Now >>

Legacy Giving

Including Blue Deer Center in your estate plans is a transformative way to give. When you make the center a beneficiary, you can ensure the long-term benefit of healing for many generations. If you have named us in your will or living trust, retirement plan, life insurance, bank, or real estate, please let us know by contacting Amanda Kerner at executivedirector@bluedeer.org. We would like to offer you our gratitude.
