Peter has been called to two traditional paths, Nahua and Huichol. In 2001, Peter was told by the Cloud people while on pilgrimage that he needed to go see a man called Don Lucio Campos in the village of Nepaculato.
Upon entering his Consultorio, Don Lucio threw his arms up into the air and said that he had seen Peter in the clouds, and he must be crowned (initiated) right away as a weather worker, a granicero.
As Peter deepen his relationship with the weather beings following his initiation, he continued pilgrimaging on the Huichol path and completed his first of two initiations as a Marakame in 2008.
Peter then began his journey to be initiated as a Quiatlzques (traditional healer in the Nahua tradition) through years of pilgrimaging to sacred sites. He continues his travels to Mexico 4 to 5 times a year for pilgrimage, ceremony and learning from the Elders.
Peter lives in the Pacific Northwest where he has a healing practice and with his wife, Sharon an initiated Granicera (weather worker) in the Nahua tradition, hold ceremonies that support the cycles of life through the year from winter and summer solstice, welcoming and thanking the rains, vigils with Mt. Rainier, Raven feeding and Returning of the Salmon to their waters.
They are initiated firekeepers in the Sacred Fire Community holding monthly community, men’s and women’s fires.
