Your gift builds something sacred.

Restoring the Barn.
Rekindling the Fire.

How can this old barn help us build a new Fire Pavilion?

For over 25 years, Blue Deer Center has been a place of healing, spiritual nourishment, and connection to the sacred.

Now, this place that has given so much is calling on you.

We’re launching a capital campaign to transform a crumbling barn into a beacon of renewal—and we need your help.

The Vision: A Fire Pavilion Rooted in Legacy

At the heart of this project is the creation of a Fire Pavilion—a sacred and permanent home for the Sacred Fire that has long lived under a temporary fire tent.

The first step?

Restoring and repurposing our historic barn.

This isn’t just construction.
It’s sacred stewardship.

What Your Gift Will Build

With help from Amish barn restoration experts, your gift will:

  • Carefully deconstruct the barn’s unsafe sections

  • Rebuild the foundation to preserve a usable section for storage

  • Salvage and repurpose the barn’s historic wood

  • Build a beautiful new Fire Pavilion from that reclaimed wood

  • Create a permanent ceremonial home for the Sacred Fire

Total goal: $250,000
Work begins: Fall 2025
Funds needed by: September 30, 2025

This is the moment. Will you stand with us?

Your gift today helps us restore the past—and build the future.

Yes, I want to help restore the barn and build the Fire Pavilion.

The Cost of Transformation

Every gift helps bring this vision to life. Here’s how your support will be used:

Barn Restoration & Preparation – $150,000

  • $55,000 – Restore the unsafe section of the barn’s foundation (northeast corner)

  • $25,000 – Carefully deconstruct the south section of the barn

  • $55,000 – Construct a new south wall with windows, doors, and siding

  • $15,000 – Remove the aging concrete pad to prepare the space for the Mohawk altar

Fire Pavilion Construction – $100,000

  • Create a permanent home for the Sacred Fire, built from salvaged barn wood

  • Includes architectural drawings, permits, and construction

Total Estimated Cost: $250,000

This isn’t just a budget—it’s a blueprint for sacred stewardship. Every dollar brings us closer to preserving the barn’s history and rebirthing it as the Fire Pavilion, a place of ceremony, healing, and connection for generations to come.
