Bring Your Program to this Sacred Land
Nestled in the beautiful Catskill Mountains of New York, Blue Deer is a sacred place in nature that offers an antidote to the turmoil, lostness and confusion of Western culture.
Blue Deer is available to host your programs or retreats. An application is required (see blue box).
The Center sits on 93 acres of land, with the River of Peace Saskawhihiwine crossing the property. We have two large houses that include a small dining room, sitting room, simple accommodations for 33 guests, a commercial kitchen (available for your caterer), onsite Art Gallery and outdoor porches. On the grounds there are two gathering spaces: a Fire Tent and a Yurt. See the Photo Gallery below to view pictures of the Center, our facilities and the beautiful land.
This is a sacred place where something is more accessible and that supports the dream of a real, sustainable, relational future.
Blue Deer is a drug and alcohol free environment.
Many lives are transformed at Blue Deer because of generosity. When participants experience the benefit of healing, they want to give back. Volunteering is a way to keep the Center thriving and available to others. Whether you can come for a work weekend, support a program, or work from your home, there are endless opportunities for how you can volunteer.
To get started, we invite you to complete our volunteer application. Please let us know if there is a specific opportunity you are interested in from the list below.
While the Northeast Herbal Association (NEHA) used to hold our annual retreat in various locations around the region, we found that Blue Deer suits all of our needs and have returned year after year. With its cozy accommodations, warm and caring staff, and tangible power of the land on which it resides, Blue Deer is an exceptional place to connect with nature and community!
