THIS PROGRAM IS PRESENTED BY
Vickie Reeves Cowan
Vickie is a “weather worker” or granicera (one who works with hail and storms) in the Nahua indigenous tradition of Mexico. She has returned each year to the highlands of Mexico to honor her commitment to this tradition and to lead her community in building a reciprocal relationship with the weather.
Nahua Solstice Ritual
An Ancient Honoring of the Winter Solstice
WHEN:
December 21, 2024, 5:30 pm
WHERE:
Blue Deer Center, Margaretville, New York
TUITION:
Donation basis
The doorway offered at the Winter Solstice is a special opportunity to connect with and honor the distinct qualities available at this time of year, release what is no longer needed, receive guidance and beneficial awareness for the coming months.
This year we have the blessing of opening that doorway and honoring the Solstice in a fashion that links to the ancient Nahua traditions. We will bring in the ingredients necessary to receive guidance, let go of the things that no longer serve us, and open ourselves to the blessings that can come from the special doorway of the Solstice. Based on teachings and instructions from my path as an initiated Nahua Weather Worker, Healer and Ceremonial Leader, I am excited to offer this ritual for the benefit of all.
RSVP is necessary.
