How You Can Help: Volunteer Projects

There are many exciting projects going on at the Blue Deer Center right now. Volunteer your expertise from afar or come to the Center and help make it happen.

Maintenance and Repair
There’s an ongoing need for volunteer help to keep the Center beautiful and functional. People with skills in carpentry, plumbing and electrical work, as well as folks who just want to help out are all very welcome! Contact info@bluedeer.org.

Adopt-a-room
The project of making the Blue Deer Center feel like home continues. We welcome your creative touch in decorating the indoor and outdoor spaces of Center. Contact Liz Parker: rlpsm@hotmail.com to discuss your wonderful decorating ideas. Add your personal touch and bring the Center to life.

Gardens and Grounds
The Garden and Grounds Planning Committee works with the interface between the humans who visit the Center and the land. A large part of this work has to do with the plant people. This includes the wild plants (native and non-native) and plants who have developed relationships with humans over time (culinary crops, medicinal herbs, and ornamentals).
