Plant Spirit Medicine:

"Doorway To The Living World"

in Santa Monica, California

Supporting the Blue Deer Center

with Eliot Cowan

Plant Spirit Medicine is not only a practice, but a way of approaching the world through connection with the plant community: those loving representatives of the natural world who hold a cornucopia of exquisite gifts to share. Eliot Cowan, author of Plant Spirit Medicine, and a Tsaurirrikame in the Huichol tradition, will offer his wisdom and guidance on Plant Spirit Medicine as a "Doorway to the Living World". Our survival through these difficult times will indeed be dependent upon our revived connection with Nature.

All proceeds from this event will help support the Blue Deer Center, a 501c3 nonprofit retreat center.

Teacher

Eliot Cowan

Eliot Cowan is the author of Plant Spirit Medicine, and a fully initiated Tsaurirrikame (shaman) in the Huichol Indian tradition. He began the study and practice of herbalism in the 1960’s and completed a Master of Acupuncture degree with J.R. Worsley in England in the 1970’s.  Eliot subsequently apprenticed with Don Guadalupe Gonzalez Rios, a Huichol Indian Shaman. On the occasion of Don Guadalupe’s retirement in 2000, he ritually recognized Eliot as a guide to shamanic apprentices in the Huichol tradition.
