Center Happenings

The Center is buzzing with activities this summer. We have had a full slate of programs with the Plant Spirit Medicine Class, Advanced Class and Conference, Healing Camp, Lei’ohu Ryder, the Women’s Retreat, our first two Wisdom Keeper programs with Cynthia Walker and Bob & Lee Nitsch, Fireball, several private retreat groups and a wedding! In the next two months we will be hosting Malidoma Somé, Tasnim Fernandez, another Healing Camp and a Wisdom Keeper weekend with John Lockley.

With so many guests coming and going, it was time to find a new vehicle to provide shuttle service from Albany and Margaretville. We have purchased a beautiful blue mini-van. You can now ride to and from the Center in comfort when you make your arrangements to attend a future program.

For the past 5 years, we have been eyeing our aging roofs with bated breath. We realized we could not take a chance on the roofs lasting through another winter like the last one. The new roofs will be on the buildings by the time this article reaches your inbox.

We are grateful for this season’s abundance. Thank you to all the elders who have shared their wisdom, to the guests who have made the pilgrimage to the land, to our many enthusiastic volunteers, to our tireless staff, and to all our donors for your ongoing support of this important work.
