Welcome the Dynamic Marketing Duo
We are thrilled to welcome two new people to the Blue Deer Center team, both of whom joined us for the Fireball and our recent summer business meetings.

BuffyMany of you already know Buffy Aakaash. Buffy lives in Seattle where he serves the local community as a Firekeeper and Plant Spirit Medicine Practitioner. Last year, Buffy began volunteering for BDC by helping us edit our written materials. He was instrumental in helping us develop our new website this spring, and from there it was natural progression into the role of Marketing Director. Buffy has a master's degree in playwriting from Columbia University and as such, has a natural flare for storytelling. He will help us continue to develop and tell the story of the Blue Deer Center as we reach out to grow our audience.

BrianBrian Spielmann of Boulder, CO has joined us as a Marketing Consultant. He attended a teaching fire with Eliot Cowan this spring and within a matter of weeks found himself on a plane bound for the Fireball. Brian brings with him extensive experience as the former Marketing Director of Shambhala Mountain Center in Colorado. His company, Authentic Presence, specializes in marketing spiritual teachers and organizations.  His passion and enthusiasm for the mission of the Blue Deer Center is both palpable and contagious.

We look forward to the momentum that this dynamic marketing duo will bring to the Center.  Most of all, we look forward to reaching more and more people with the programs that elders are bringing to the land.
